Pastor Juan Marchelle Goodson is man of genuine compassion with a heart for God, service to God’s people and a sincere thirst for souls. Pastor Goodson has his finger on the pulse of his generation and is focusing intently on developing next generation leaders with integrity, stability and like passion for Jesus Christ.

He is the establishmentarian and lead pastor of Restoration Ministries Church of God in Christ in the luminous city of Charlotte, North Carolina; one of the most distinguished upcoming and thriving cutting-edge churches in the region.   

Pastor Goodson also serves as District Superintendent of the C.E.Anderson, Sr. Fellowship District in North Carolina Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the COGIC under the leadership of Bishop Stenneth E. Powell, Sr.

Pastor Goodson has a proven track record of years of service to Christ that extends throughout decades. His involvement in the church began at a very early age. He has worked in numerous capacities from Music and Arts ministries to teaching, administrations and has even utilized his formal education in assisting in the financial operations of churches that he has served during his tenure as layperson and itinerant minister.  Pastor Goodson is a graduate of Clark-Atlanta University and holds a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.  

As a strong advocate and proponent for the preservation of family Pastor Goodson can be seen with his own family operating in the local church and beyond. His lovely wife, J. Nicole Goodson, affectionately known as “Pastor Nicole” to the congregants serves with her husband faithfully and is a very integral and necessary part of the ministry. Their daughters, Jazmin and Jayda, too have found use for their God-given talents for the work of the ministry.

Pastor Goodson is anointed for this hour to lead God’s people to new dimensions of health and prosperity through powerful didactic preaching and by practical and relevant teaching. He flows in areas of the prophetic and possesses the gifts of healing, helps and prayer. He often says: “The greatest joy one can ever experience is to be able to serve others.” Pastor Goodson is always seeking ways to serve God’s people in whatever capacity necessary.  

Bishop Rudolph is the first Arkansan to be appointed to this office which makes him the chief minister of protocol for the denomination that was founded in 1907 and has over 6.5 million members in the United States and 82 countries around the globe.  As Adjutant General, he assists the Presiding Bishop in directing the National Adjutancy which is a team of people who are united and organized to help make ministry work. Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to: preparation for the consecration and installation of new bishops, the dignified execution of home going celebrations for deceased leaders, assisting the Presiding Bishop in the orderly conduction of national ceremonial occasions as well as performing any other duty that the Presiding Bishop may assign.

Rudolph is a third generation Church Of God In Christ servant born the eldest of three to the late Pastor Robert Gene Rudolph and Mrs. Peggy Scott Rudolph.  He was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost at the tender age of five, preached his first sermon at the age of seven while standing on a chair and at the age of eleven formally became a licensed minister.  Rudolph won the National Oratorical Contest of the Church Of God In Christ and was summoned to the world headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee, to be ordained at the age of sixteen at the hand of the late Presiding Bishop J. O. Patterson, Sr.  He has twenty seven years of pastoral experience in which he has served the following  congregations:   Victory Temple Church Of God In Christ, Arkadelphia, Arkansas, 1996 – 1998; Revelation Church Of God In Christ, Carlisle, Arkansas, 1998-2005; Calvary Church Of God In Christ, Malvern, Arkansas, 2005-Present; and the Davis Memorial Church Of God In Christ, Crossett, Arkansas, 2011 – Present.

Rudolph holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Henderson State University and continued his education by pursing a Master of Public Administration degree.  As an undergraduate, he was a fellow for the Center of the Study of the Presidency, an award-winning member of the debate team, student body president and won the Belford V. Lawson National Oratorical Contest of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.   In addition, he was elected to serve as a student member of the fraternity’s national board of directors.  Rudolph completed three graduate religious studies programs graduating with both a Master of Theology and Master of Divinity degrees and later earning a Doctor of Philosophy in Episcopal Studies from the Abundant Faith Theological Seminary.  Since 2003, he has been happily married to the lovely, Lady Michelle Parham Rudolph who supports his ministry wholeheartedly.

Rudolph has now been in a career which spans two decades of service in the areas of politics and government from conducting research and speechwriting as a clerk for the Arkansas Legislature, to being a Special Assistant to the Governor of Arkansas and  serving as Director of Governmental Affairs for the largest Arkansas state agency.  He was appointed by the Governor to serve as a member of the Youth Justice Reform Board, a panel charged with bringing increased oversight, accountability and effectiveness to the state’s juvenile justice system.  After serving as the Executive Secretary and the youngest Administrative Assistant to the retiring Prelate of the Arkansas Second Jurisdiction and his mentor, Bishop D. L. Lindsey; Rudolph was reappointed to the Secretariat and promoted as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the incoming Prelate, Bishop Frank J. Anderson, Jr.  He was also appointed Superintendent of the New Day District.  Due to the scope of his national work, he was asked to serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Interim Prelate of the Arkansas Third Jurisdiction and member of the denomination’s General Board, Bishop George D. McKinney.  During this time he was the founding Superintendent of the Rehoboth District.  In addition, he actively assisted Bishop D. L. Lindsey during similar episcopal transitions in the Arkansas First, Arkansas Second and the Arkansas Fourth Jurisdictions.

In 2007, upon the recommendation of the former Adjutant General and a current member of the General Board, Bishop Matthew Williams, Rudolph was appointed as the Scribe of the National Adjutancy (2007-2017) and an Adjutant Overseer by Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake.  In this capacity, he assisted the Presiding Bishop and members of the General Board as they had guided more than one hundred and eighty-five jurisdictions with the intimate details of the national home going celebrations of bishops and actively assisted the interim Prelate with the day to day operations of the jurisdiction until a new Prelate was named.  Additionally, he has assisted in the consecration of bishops and has been given the distinct honor of announcing the apostolic procession at ceremonies across the country and the world.  Due to his faithfulness as Special Assistant (2000-2007) to the former General Secretary, the late Elder A. Z. Hall, Jr., in 2009 Rudolph was appointed by the current General Secretary, Bishop Joel H. Lyles, Jr., as an Assistant General Secretary for the Church Of God In Christ, Inc.   In this position, he is responsible for the maintenance of the denomination’s archives and he represents the General Secretary at home going celebrations.  In addition, he serves the Office of the Presiding Bishop as an Associate White House Liaison.  At the request of the Presiding Bishop he has represented the church at the White House Roundtable with African American Faith Leaders as he participated in discussions on such topics as criminal justice reform, healthcare reform, climate change and the environment.

On April 7, 2014, Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake recommended that Rudolph be appointed to the episcopacy.  By unanimous consent, the General Board accepted this recommendation and the General Assembly of the denomination formally ratified the appointment.  Rudolph was elected President of the Historic 2014 Episcopal Class by his peers which is the largest class of Bishops to be consecrated at one time in the history of the church.  On November 9, 2014, he was formally consecrated to the Sacred Office of Bishop during the 107th International Holy Convocation of the Church Of God In Christ held in St. Louis, Missouri.
